Pro Humanitate & Winning Championships: Wake Forest celebrates historic $20 million gift from Bob McCreary, launches the McCreary Triple Double Challenge


Wake Forest University announced a transformational $20 million gift from longtime benefactor and football alum Bob McCreary (’61), one of the most generous philanthropic leaders in Demon Deacon history. In tandem with this historic gift, Wake Forest is launching the McCreary Triple Double Challenge: a $100 million Initiative, a bold and future-defining fundraising effort for student-athlete success and competitive excellence.

Wake Forest ranks 4th nationally for study abroad participation


The Institute of International Education’s (IIE) Open Doors 2025 report – considered the world’s benchmark for global educational exchange – showed that 85.7% of Wake Forest undergraduates received credit for study abroad in the 2023-24 academic year and summer of 2024, placing Wake Forest fourth on the list of leading doctoral universities.

Wake Forest will be tuition-free for admitted students from North Carolina


Wake Forest University announced that undergraduates from North Carolina with annual family incomes less than $200,000 will attend tuition-free, beginning for students admitted for the 2026 fall semester. Learn more about the North Carolina Gateway to Wake Forest University.
