After receiving my BA in Political Science in May 2006 from a local university, I felt a calling in my life for ministry, which moved me to enter the Wake Forest University School of Divinity in August of 2007. I decided to come to Wake Forest because with its small size I realized there would be a strong possibility of having close relationships with my professors and colleagues. For me, close relationships are important to mental and spiritual growth. I chose Wake Forest because I knew I would be stretched academically in ways I had not been stretched before.
One of the reasons I am able to attend divinity school is because of the generous donations made to the Ed and Jean Christman Scholarship, of which I am a recipient. I am grateful for the Christman Scholarship as well as other gifts to The Wake Forest Fund for the School of Divinity that assist students in pursuing their theological education. The financial support that I have received has been a life affirming investment in my academic and ministerial success.
